The other day I mentioned on Facebook that I refuse to stop posting what I plan to do with my day. Rather I'll just post at the very tail end of the day...after I know exactly how that day actually turned out...and what actually got accomplished. At this point in my life I rarely know what my days look like from the moment my little eyes drag open and I start slugging down the coffee....to what will unfold from one moment to the next until I lay my sleepy head down on the pillow again at bed time...whenever that elusive moment comes. Now days, I don't even attempt to tell people..."Oh yes, of course, I can do that tomorrow at noon...or next Thurs. at 2:30 will be perfect!" Are you kidding me??? I find myself constantly eating my words lately...and truthfully, they don't always taste so great!
So my plan for bright and early Monday was to trek down to Belgrade again to help our friends move and bring up more stuff for the yard sale...that was supposedly to take place this past weekend....and will supposedly take place this weekend...??????
Instead I ended up with no car. The trailer is also now out of use...for moving stuff anyway. It'll be sporting the new Power Hearth unit.... supposedly... some time this week...supposedly.
So what do I do now??? Clean out our nice stainless steel fridge...that stopped working as of Sunday...and drained water all over the kitchen floor....and move everything into our brand new 'old' clunker that now graciously bedecks our deck out front. Yes, the very fridge that we just brought up from our friend's house this past weekend...the very one that they tried desperately to give away on the roadside that NObody would take for free. We told them, "Sure, we'll take it...we could use an old fridge over on our land." Little did we know that we could use an old fridge on our front porch this very weekend. The Lord doth provide! And ya know, life is SO much more interesting this way! My ways are definitely not His ways....and my words are not His words...so perhaps eating a few of my own ways and words isn't such a terrible thing after all! : D
